Strategy and engagement across the Natural Resources Sectors
Crosscut works within the Natural Resources sector with a focus on mining ownership groups, contractors, and First Nations across British Columbia, Alberta, and the Yukon. Most firms in this space work one side. We work all three — because the projects that move are the ones where those three are at the table together.
Our Story
Crosscut started with a pattern we kept seeing: good projects stalling in the same place.
Not on geology. Not on financing. On the space between people. The owner had their team. The contractor had theirs. The Nation had theirs. Everyone was working their own corner, and the conversation that actually needed to happen wasn't anybody's job.
So we built the room that needed to exist.
The order matters to us. We lead with respect for the land and for the Nations whose territories these projects sit on — not as a step in a process, but because it is the right place to start, and because nothing durable gets built any other way.
We also believe that British Columbia's resources, developed well and with the right people at the table from the beginning, can build real economic stability and independence for the people who live here.
Both of those things are true at the same time. Most of our work is making sure they stay that way.
Crosscut is two people who came to this work from different sides of it and now do it together. That is deliberate. The room only works when both perspectives are in it.

Who We Work With
We don't publish our client list.
Our work happens between parties who are often negotiating with each other. Discretion isn't a courtesy — it's the condition that makes the work possible. What's said in one room stays in that room.
We work with junior explorers and mid-tier producers, drilling and earthworks contractors, service and supply vendors, and First Nations governments and development corporations, across British Columbia, Alberta, and the Yukon.
